Remembrance is a significant part of our identity and affects our ability to negotiate the world. This work is of Warsaw during World War II it is based on a photo taken at the time and found by me in an old book on the city. I have used the ordinary cup on the plate to combine the extreme circumstances of war with day to day existence.
